En presentasjon:
Milumbe Haimbe
Milumbe Haimbe

Biographical Data

I was born in Southern Africa in 1974, the fourth of five children. From an early age, I loved the magic of literature and art, and expressed these passions through the scripting and sketching of comic books.

However, I studied architecture at undergraduate level at the Copperbelt University and graduated in 1998.

In 1999, after a year in the building industry, I decided to hang up my T-square in search of my true loves – literature and art.

Swagman & Jumbuck is my first novel.

Synopsis: Swagman & Jumbuck
Swagman & Jumbuck

Moody but brilliant Jude is Chief Game Designer at Virtualosity, a leading virtual reality game company. When the finished but polished version of the game he has been designing finally premiers at a glittering gala, even he is dazzled by the sheer brilliance of it. Thanks to the software Virtualosity has been developing in their laboratory, his relatively engaging game has been transformed into an astounding masterpiece, and it's flat, programmed protagonists into artificially intelligent virtual beings.

Jude is soon obsessed with this magical software. One night, driven by this mad obsession, he breaks into the laboratory, coming upon a glass cubicle wherein lies a young girl – unconscious, countless tubes channeling fluids into, as well as out of her electrode ravaged body.

Convinced that she holds the key to Virtualosity's magical software – his tramp card to ultimate power and glory in the cut-throat world of virtual reality entertainment – Jude abducts the girl in the hope of unlocking the secrets that she holds, fleeing across the Atlantic to take refuge in a quiet European countryside.

It is a strange relationship that develops between this unlikely pair on the run. Fantastical adventures unfold in virtual space as well as in real time. Dynamics change, and balances grow fragile as the mysteries of the girl's true nature unravel. All the while, the great confrontation looms like doom.
